Liberty Plaza is violently raided by NYPD officers seeking to prevent citizens from gathering freely to celebrate the six-month anniversary of Occupy Wall Street.
January 10, 2012: Following complaints from neighbors, local politicians, and national civil liberties groups, the barricades that have surrounded Zuccotti Park since the November 15 eviction of Occupy Wall Street are removed–and a celebration begins.
These videos shows the violence of the NYPD against the peaceful protesters. It also shows the extreme levels the City of New York went to in order to silence the press. There is some overlap of the two videos but the second video shows the NYPD violence outside of the park.
